DAMASCUS -- Two pro-government fighters were killed during an Islamic State (IS) attack on a military site in the desert region in eastern Syria overnight into Tuesday, pro-government Sham FM radio reported Wednesday.
The IS militants attacked a position of the pro-government fighters in the desert region of al-Sukhneh in the eastern countryside of the central province of Homs, said the report. (Syria-IS Attack-Casualties)

ISLAMABAD -- At least four people were killed and two others injured on Wednesday in a suicide attack at a security check post in Pakistan's northwestern North Waziristan district, said an official.
Deputy Commissioner of the district Rehan Gul Khattak said that a suicide bomber blew himself up at a security check post when personnel were conducting routine checking in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, a district in the country's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. HOUSTON -- Two people were killed and at least seven others injured after a house under construction collapsed during a storm in Conroe, south central U.S. state Texas, on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
"We saw hail outside, sky got really black, and it rained really hard, 10 to 15 minutes," a local resident told CBS affiliate KHOU. "And after that the rain kind of stopped. But around that same time we were hearing the ambulances and the fire trucks." (U.S.-Collapse)

TEHRAN -- Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday that it smashed a "terrorist" group plotting "sabotage" in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, the IRGC's official news outlet Sepah News reported.
Acting on intelligence information, the IRGC forces tracked and busted the group in a surprise attack, foiling its attempts to plan any "terrorist" acts, the report quoted a statement by the Quds Base of the IRGC's Ground Force as saying. (Iran-Smashing Terror Group)
